A Cordial Welcome
Please read this page, or at least skim and scan it, before proceeding to the rest of the guide.
This is a guide. Not an encyclopedic reference; not an authoritative source. It’s made up of observations, opinions, and advice from several INTEC students, both past and present. We are not affiliated with anyone, even ATUSA, although we do work closely with several of its members. And, like all guides are, it’s non-obligatory.
Why does this exist? Why would anyone bother to write up things like this and put it online, when juniors can easily pop over to the ACTP classes and have their questions answered by (willing) seniors?
Well, for one, gathering resources into one easily accessible place makes things a lot easier for everyone. Pooling resources is another reason, for no single senior can possibly have all the answers to all conceivable questions. It’s also easy to direct readers to online resources via an online blog, as opposed to physical speech – especially for our University Applications section.
This is also a guide in progress, a dynamic guide if you wish. It will continuously be updated as we have more people submit articles or their opinions. However, it has never been our intention to create a monster guide in which everything you could ever want to know is listed, which is why the title reads ‘ADFP [mini]Guide’.
Still, we hope this guide will be of use to you, in whatever way possible.
Navigation is achieved by selecting the pages you want from the right-hand column. Each item you see is different, and they’re arranged in hierarchical order to make things easier. Of course, this is only the first of many phases of the site, and there are many things that we have not written out yet. Some of them do not require setting into words – they’re plain to see – but if you do not find the answer to your question, you are welcome to email the guide here. Of course, other avenues such as the ATUSA website, ATUSA Facebook group INTEC ATUSA, face to face conversations with seniors, trawling the Internet, etc, are always open to you to pursue and would probably yield quicker results.
Like we said earlier, this is just a guide.
